Compared to the first quarter of last year, this number grew 14 percent. The number of Maestro debit payment cards was 1.37 million and the number of MasterCard and MasterCard Electronic payment cards reached 220,000. The total transaction volume over the first quarter provided via MasterCard cards increased 20 percent year-on-year to €560 million. On average, each cardholder performed transactions worth €351 over the first quarter.
