New Edge Networks has entered into an agreement with Lynk Systems, to provide national broadband DSL access for multi-location networks.

New Edge Networks will provide direct high-speed connections to all Lynk processing centers for redundant access by its merchant customers. The secure connections simplify multi-location DSL-based network requirements and installation for merchants that migrate from dial-up connections to broadband. Faster connections speed up card transactions for merchants. New Edge Networks and Lynk reached this agreement through their involvement in the Retail Broadband Alliance, a forum that makes it simple for customers to migrate to broadband. The card transaction data travels over a private network, bypassing the public Internet. New Edge Networks is the first national carrier to receive compliance statements that broadband networks it builds for business customers are compliant with credit card data security requirements of American Express, Discover Card, and MasterCard. The company is awaiting validation of compliance from Visa USA.
