Japanese Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi selects Clear2Pays Open Payment Framework technology

Financial services company Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTMU) has entered an agreement with Belgium-based payments technology provider Clear2Pay for the adoption of the former’s Open Payment Framework technology (OPF).

As a result, the newly-announced partnership is expected to power a centralized European payments platform for BTMU via Clear2Pay’s OPF.

Clear2Pay is a financial technology company focused on providing financial services institutions with electronic payments technology. Clear2Pay operates in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Senegal, United States, Australia, China, Malaysia and Singapore.

More recently, Clear2Pay has received full SWIFTReady accreditation for the OPF and its derivative payment services. The SWIFTReady Payments accreditation is set to guarantee that the OPF meets SWIFT’s standards for message support, message validation and information services integration.
