Fortumo appoints Jacob Hauskens as VP of Sales & Business Development

Mobile payments company Fortumo has appointed Jacob Hauskens as Vice President of Sales & Business Development, based in San Francisco.

Jacob Hauskens has previously led Sony VAIO’s PC messaging and monetisation platform while at Sony Electronics. In addition to holding leadership positions at Sony Electronics and collaborating with companies such as Google, Microsoft, Symantec, and Intel, Jacob has worked as the Director of Business Development for Rocket Lawyer and as an analyst at Bank of America Securities.

Founded in 2007, Fortumo is a developer and mobile payments provider, enabling application and game developers to monetise users via micro-payments. Fortumo is backed by Intel Capital and Greycroft Partners and has offices in Estonia, San Francisco and Beijing.

In recent news, Fortumo has launched its mobile payment services in India. Direct carrier billing with four mobile operators enables Fortumo payments to mobile phone users across India.
