First Tennessee Bank Completes Migration To Fidelity Information Services Outsourcing Solution

Fidelity Information Services has completed First Tennessee Bank National Associations migration to Fidelitys managed operations outsourcing solution. The migration is a major component of the five-year managed operations agreement that was signed between both companies in June.

Fidelity is managing First Tennessees data processing operations through Fidelitys technology center in Little Rock, Ark. Fidelitys managed operations will initially support First Tennessees deposits, trust, consumer loans, commercial loans, customer information, investments, item processing and financial systems. Managed operations support for First Tennessees information warehouse and online banking will be added in phase two of the planned migration. The migration, using a disk mirroring technology approach, seamlessly transferred in real time the entire contents of First Tennessees data center, including more than six terabytes of data. This process was repeated three times to support independent testing with the final move being completed within First Tennessees normal maintenance window. In addition to moving the data center, First Tennessees entire network was moved three times within six weeks to Fidelitys test center to assure complete certification before migration. Following each of the three tests, service was restored to the incumbent systems without loss or interruption. The migration was completed through the combined efforts of the First Tennessee and Fidelity managers and employees who, in close partnership, completed hundreds of integration tasks in multiple locations over the course of the migration.
