edocshas released its latest release of its software platform. Version 4.0 introduces new and enhanced business-to-business (B2B) capabilities for e-invoicing, business reporting and analytics, enterprise hierarchy management and online self-care to help companies gain additional operational efficiencies and improve customer service.

eaSuite Version 4.0 targets B2B billers, which make up approximately half of edocs current customer base. Gartner estimates that the average B2B biller can save $10.1 million annually by delivering invoices over the web, automating disputes and payments and migrating phone calls to web-based self-service. For example, companies spend more than $1 per minute/per call today on average to service businesses customers over the phone. In addition, 30-50% of B2B invoices have exceptions or disputes requiring human interaction and delaying payments. The reconciliation process tends to be highly manual, leading to long resolution times and high receivables balances resulting in poor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) numbers. edocs product offerings combine comprehensive self-service functionality with the markets most scalable and reliable e-billing and online account management platform. By enabling business and consumer customers to manage all their account-related tasks online, edocs solutions help companies deflect a high percentage of call center inquiries, accelerate billing and payment processing and improve operational efficiencies. Version 4.0 benefits B2B billers that are facing increased demands from their business customers for e-invoicing and self-service. Textron Financial and Dutch telecommunications firm, KPN, will be among the first edocs clients to deploy Version 4.0. eaSuite Version 4.0 includes new and enhanced B2B capabilities including: Consolidated e-Billing/e-Invoicing - Version 4.0 enables billers and statement issuers to present a unified account view and consolidate invoices on the web or on paper. This streamlines complex billing processes and improves customer satisfaction by combining bills and statements from multiple disparate billing systems, without requiring a forklift upgrade of the legacy systems themselves. eaCare Hierarchy Manager - The eaCare Hierarchy Manager lets B2B customers model their organizations themselves through a web-based interface. Version 4.0 provides for multiple enterprise hierarchy views, customizable context sensitive menus, and efficient cost center allocation and reporting. This enables advanced analytics, roles-based payment processing, access control, inventory management and account configuration. eaCare Reporting - Version 4.0 is designed to meet the reporting needs of a wide spectrum of B2B customers. It offers the flexibility of batch or dynamic report generation to address the varying volume requirements of small, medium and large-scale enterprises. eaCare Service and Order Manager - Version 4.0 includes advanced capabilities for: -- Account Configuration - which enables business and consumer customers to update, configure, provision and maintain key elements of their existing services or plans. B2B customers can leverage their enterprise hierarchy to manage roles and permissions for using this functionality. -- Order Management - which enables existing customers to directly purchase new products and additional services; and -- Account Activation & Enrollment - which enables companies to enroll new customers and configure services through third party distributors and channel partners. eaCare Intelligent Assistant - Version 4.0 provides best-in-class natural language search capabilities and expands access to searchable knowledgebases. Enhancements include refined ontology for increased search accuracy and enhanced workbench, analytics and libraries. Streamlined Platform Architecture - Version 4.0 provides a multi-application environment so that companies can more rapidly deploy their B2B and B2C applications from a common platform. This simplifies system management and reduces total cost of ownership while providing unmatched system scalability and functionality.
