Tuesday 16 March 2004 20:49 CET | News

Chockstone has fully complied with the Visa U.S.A. Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) after completing the rigorous 12-step requirements by Visa CISP.

As Visa CISP compliant, Chockstone is certified under Visa to be up to date with the utmost security regulations assigned by 3rd-party assessors as well as Visa itself to ensure protection of sensitive cardholder information. CISP defines a standard of due care for securing Visa cardholder data, wherever it is located. CISP compliance has been required of all entities storing, processing, or transmitting Visa cardholder data. Members must comply with CISP and are responsible for ensuring the compliance of their merchants and Agents -- whether they support Issuing or Acquiring activity -- for all payment channels, including retail (brick-and-mortar), mail/telephone-order, and e-commerce.
