Bank Services of Virginia, has chosen to implement VSofts eDesk family of products for check imaging and fraud prevention.Bank Services of Virginias implementation includes 10 products under the eDesk family: Chargebacks, Image Statements, Intelligent Repair Image System (IRIS), Power Encode, Proof of Deposit, Adjustments, Fraud In-Check, COLD, Research and Returns. The eDesk family of products is a browser-based portal, providing a single point of entry for a variety of technology modules. Presenting the same look and feel across all its screens, eDesk allows seamless integration between its check processing and imaging products. With respect to check processing, eDesk increases back-office productivity, expedites proof-of-deposit processing and reduces operator intervention by 80 percent. eDesk provides a high-powered query engine and flexible multi-bank, multi-site and multi-date processing, designed to maximize core banking efficiencies and reduce operational costs. In addition, automating processes reduces the risk of fraud by nearly eliminating human intervention. VSofts eDesk automates the check verification process by reading the face of the check and digitally capturing all payment information. It then compares the captured information with critical files identified by the bank. eDesks Graphical user interface makes it highly intuitive and easy to learn. Bank Services of Virginias implementation of VSofts eDesk is set to begin in June, with completion sometime in the fall.
