US e-tailer ShoeBuy adds eBillme as checkout option

Wednesday 4 March 2009 11:30 CET | News

US online retailer Shoebuy has added eBillme to the list of payment methods it accepts on its website.

eBillme is a payment method which allows customers to make purchases online, via catalogues or through call centres and pay for them at their bank, credit union, or bill payment portal. By selecting eBillme at checkout, shoppers visualise their invoice and types in their names and email addresses. The merchant then sends the bill directly to the customer via email. Shoppers then log into their own online banking platforms and pay the eBill like any other online bill. Throughout the purchase no private customer information is exposed online.

ShoeBuy is an online retailer of footwear and related accessories with over 5 million unique visitors monthly.
