Shift4, MI9 ink contract

Monday 10 January 2011 11:21 CET | News

US-based payment processing services provider Shift4 has entered a partnership with US software development company MI9.

Under the terms of the deal, both parties are expected to integrate Shift4s Dollars on the Net service with MI9s Store PoS and back office management system. As a result, MI9 clients are no longer required to store, process, or transmit cardholder data, nor do they need to maintain encryption keys.

In addition, the integration is set to offer support for US and Canadian PIN Debit, signature capture, cheque verification and Shift4s gift card system It`s Your Card.

Shift4’s Dollars on the Net is an enterprise-wide payment processing service available for both card present and card not present transactions. It serves as a payment gateway between a merchants POS or Property Management System PMS and their bank/processor.

In October 2010, Shift4 received certification from Chase Paymentech, a US card payment processing services provider, for retail EMV-based (Chip and PIN) payment transactions in Canada.
