Nigeria-based fintech Shago Payments has launched a bill payment and ecommerce platform that targets underbanked and underserved Nigerians.

The platform aims to create a hub that showcases goods and services while allowing merchants to earn a commission on bill payment transactions.

Shago Payments is a Nigerian fintech company focusing on retailing and financial digital products and services. Shago’s application facilitates fund transfers, payment of bills, buying airtime, and the opening of accounts.

Shago began operations in January 2020. The company collaborates with banks, PTSPs, and Telcos, to deliver services to Nigerians. In 2021, the company plans on working with the Central Bank of Nigeria, SANEF, and EFINA on a financial inclusion initiative.
