PayPal enables users to pay online without cards in Finland, Romania, Bulgaria

PayPal has joined forces with payment solutions provider Trust Pay to launch a bank top-up functionality which will allow customers to transfer money from their bank account to PayPal‘s and pay online without the need of using a bank card.

The newly introduced service is available for all PayPal customers in Finland, Romania and Bulgaria.
PayPal instant top-up feature allows customers to transfer money from their local bank account to PayPal account and pay online. This service is aimed at PayPal users who prefer to use their bank accounts for paying online and do not want to rely on bank cards. Funds or balance in the PayPal account will enable consumers to shop worldwide.

Trust Pay is a payment institution licensed by the National Bank of Slovakia providing payment solutions for merchants and their customers. Trust Pay, as a principal member of Visa and Mastercard, specialises on processing card payments and also on local and bank transfers.

In recent news, financial services provider Equity Bank has teamed up with PayPal to enable Kenya’s merchants to sell to PayPal’s customer base and move the proceeds to their Equity Bank accounts.
