Paymentwall partners Alipay to enter the Chinese market

Paymentwall, the US-based provider of monetization platform for games and websites has entered a partnership with Chinese online payment services provider Alipay to enable its developers and publishers to monetize the Chinese market.

Under the terms of the deal, Alipay will provide Chinese consumers with the ability to carry out payments for digital services, games and other content providers who use Paymentwall. The payment is made through Paymentwall’s integrated, 2-click payment platform.

The Paymentwall platform provides various international online payments services including credit and debit cards, bank transfer and direct debit payments, eWallets and prepaid cards, mobile and land-line payments, payment kiosks/terminals. Paymentwall targets online buyers in more than 200 countries in regions such as: South East Asia, Latin America, the US and Canada, Western Europe, Turkey, Arabic-speaking countries, Russia and CIS countries, Eastern Europe, as well as China. The company currently provides monetization services to over 1000 publishers.

Alipay, Alibaba’s online payment unit, provides individuals and businesses with the ability to make and receive payments on the internet. As of December 2010, Alipay had more than 550 million registered users and facilitated around 8.5 million transactions daily.
