Friday 1 July 2016 10:29 CET | News

Facebook has started to test out a new feature that will allow users to make payments through Messenger.

The company has been planning for some time to launch a payment service through the Messenger app, marketexclusive.com reports.

The feature named Send or Request Money will allow users to send funds or make payments to their peers. The feature is already available in the US.

The feature works by adding card details including cards from Mastercard and Visa. Additionally, users will not incur any extra costs because the company does not charge any payment fee.
