According to Breaking Belize News, Wallet Factory stated that the E-Kyash mobile wallet application enables a quick registration as no bank account is required, supports both B2C and B2B payments, and enables users to make QR-based payments funding wallet balance via cash payments at retail operators. Additionally, the solution supports direct salary payments to employees via the E-kyash wallet.
Furthermore, according to the company's officials, the main goal of E-kyash is to lead the financial inclusion strategy across Belize by proposing an easy to use and convenient solution for end-users and merchants to perform daily transaction.
The new platform is set to launch in April 2021 and forms a part of a greater regional initiative to increase the accessibility of digital transactions to unbanked customers, Breaking Belize News reported.
