Avangate introduces Boleto Bancario, adds Brazilian Portuguese interface

Avangate, a Netherlands-based developer of e-commerce and channel management technology for software companies, has introduced the Boleto Bancario payment method and additional localization options for Brazil to enable software vendors to tap into BRIC markets.

Via Boleto Bancario and localization of the ordering interface in Brazilian Portuguese digital vendors selling via Avangate are able to target the Brazilian market.

Boleto is a credit transfer service which enables customers in Brazil to purchase software online and pay offline at any Brazilian post office, bank branch or through internet banking.

In recent news, Avangate has won a contract from Genie9, a developer of backup and security software solutions, to power the e-commerce engine of the genie9.com online store.
