Mashreq Bank enhances online banking platform

United Arab Emirates-based financial services provider Mashreq Bank has added enhanced capabilities to its online banking platform, dubbed Mashreq Online.

The enhanced offering is set to provide Mashreq customers with an activation code for adding a payment beneficiary, thus offering upgraded security services.

In addition, Mashreq Bank has introduced a one-time password process where customers have to add their utility account number in the beneficiary list and activate the beneficiary by entering the activation code received on their mobile phone number.

The Mashreq Online platform carried out 2 million transactions in 2010.
