Western Union introduces international money transfer services in Myanmar

Western Union has launched its international money transfer services in Myanmar by entering into an agreement with financial institution Oriental Bank, which will become the bank’s first agent to offer Western Union Money Transfer services.

As a result, Myanmar citizens will be able to receive money from friends and family members from around the world.

Domestic bank Myanmar Oriental Bank is among the first batch of private banks to be authorized to operate foreign currency services in Myanmar.

In recent news, Western Union Business Solutions, a business unit of the Western Union Company, has introduced its business-to-business (B2B) service in three new markets, namely Chile, Cyprus and Jordan.
