Visa launches Visa Developer Center

Thursday 17 November 2011 15:08 CET | News

Visa has introduced the new Visa Developer Center, which will allow approved application developers to access the tools they need to create and deploy payment applications.

The new Visa Developer Center enables e-commerce and mobile application developers to create an online purchase experience for consumers. In addition, developers will gain access to application programming interfaces (APIs), documentation and software development kits.

The Visa Developer Center also provides access to the payment expertise and development tools offered by Visa and its subsidiaries, CyberSource, Authorize.Net and PlaySpan. E-commerce merchants, financial institutions, mobile network operators and gaming developers will be able to integrate Visa payment functionality into their product offerings.

In September 2011, Visa has signed a deal with Google for the Google Wallet. Under the terms of the agreement, Visa-issuing banks worldwide are set to enable Visa account holders to add their credit, debit and prepaid accounts to the recently launched Google Wallet.
