United Airlines has become the latest to add a payment plan service that allows travellers to book now and pay later, as per Daily Hive news.
The service is offered through Uplift and lets users make monthly payment contributions to cover the cost of airfare over the course of anywhere from three to up to 11 months before their departure.
United Vacations allows travellers to reserve their vacation from USD 200 per person and pay the rest later. The plan is meant to provide customers with the flexibility of being able to make multiple payments over time — which no doubt will come as a relief for many travellers — or even pay with multiple credit cards. Final payments are required at least 45 days before departure, in which case your credit card will be automatically charged.
The sum of the deposit includes a portion of flight costs, accommodation, and the full cost of any additional holiday add-ons, including excursions, show tickets, or travel protection. The amount of the deposit varies and is based on the specific destination and accommodations for each trip.
