Travel Republic selects Wirecard for credit card processing services

Monday 11 October 2010 10:14 CET | News

Electronic payment and risk management systems developer Wirecard has signed an agreement with British online travel portal Travel Republic.

Under the terms of the contract, Wirecard will provide the latter’s global chain of hotels, apartments and villas with its “Supplier and Commission Payments” (SCP) service. Based on the automated issuance of virtual credit cards by Wirecard Bank, the SCP service generates a virtual credit card for every single payout. In the process of the technical integration, enterprises have a choice: either virtual cards are created manually and loaded with the amount of the payout using a graphical user interface (GUI) or instead on an automated basis by means of an XML system interface.

The actual time of payment is freely determined by defining full and partial payment terms, such as payments falling due at the time of making the reservation. The service provider processes credit card data in the usual way and no process adjustment is necessary. Interfaces for the matching of data are designed to ensure reconciliation with financial and accounting systems.

Wirecard has partnered with more than 10,000 companies active in various industries to automate their payment processes.
