Todos launches revolutionary EMV certified smart card terminal

The Swedish-based Todos Data System has released a new PC-based smart card terminal called Argos Mini II. The new reader, which main field of application is identification of end users, has a flat design and weighs only 55 grams.

The reader is used together with asymmetric crypto cards in order to create digital signatures within PKI environments. Argos Mini II has been certified for EMV-Level 1. It is CE certified and approved by USB and listed at Argos Mini II has been taken through WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) tests and it is qualified for Designed for Windows 2000, ME and XP, so drivers are available through Windows Update for 2000, ME and XP. The readers flat design makes mass distribution to end users simple and cost efficient, since the reader can easily be sent out in a bubble lined mailer and fits through a normal mailbox slot.
