Around 300 jobs will be lost in Finland, 150 in Sweden and 170 more in the 10 countries which host Tieto’s international divisions. Moreover, the company is expected to make use of temporary lay offs in Finland, consolidate its offices, lower its number of subcontractors and further cut down on other business expenses. The new adjustments come after Tieto cut a further 350 positions earlier in 2009.
Tieto’s staff includes around 5 700 workers in Finland, 3 200 in Sweden and 7 800 in Tieto International.
