Synovus Selects VISAs Plus and Interlink as Primary Debit Network Providers

Synovus has awarded its debit network business to VISAs Plus and Interlink. Interlink gives Synovus customers access to a national PIN payment network that is accepted at more than one million merchant locations across the United States.The VISA/Plus ATM Network allows Synovus cardholders to have access to their money around the world. There are more than 840,000 ATMs available in over 150 countries. The United States has more than 364,000 ATMs. This expanded relationship ensures that Synovus cardholders will continue to receive all the protections and features that VISA offers, such as dispute resolution, zero liability fraud protection and a state of the art security system. Plus and Interlink will manage the companys primary debit network business effective April 1, 2004.
