SSP Solutions, dba SSP-Litronic is arming enterprises with the tools for successful smart card deployments with the debut of its Enterprise Credential Management System.

Based on the companys proven public key infrastructure (PKI) technology, the Enterprise Credential Management System provides a comprehensive solution for issuing and managing the lifecycles of digital certificates, secure credentials, and smart cards, which have long created a significant challenge for IT departments in terms of cost, complexity, and end user functionality. The Enterprise Credential Management System is an integrated combination of SSP-Litronics Profile Manager Enterprise and NetSign Enterprise products. Both Profile Manager Enterprise and NetSign Enterprise are based on fully tested and proven technologies and offer a full range of support for PKI activities, including certificate issuance and revocation, key recovery, and certificate update, re-key, and renewal. A web-based architecture and interface offers both administrators and users multiple options for card use, service, and support. A key design feature of the Enterprise Credential Management System is ease of use, simplifying configuration, administration, and maintenance for IT professionals and end users. Remote desktop installation and configuration minimizes end user interaction, while configurable certificate polices and smart card issuance templates reduce administration efforts. The Enterprise Credential Management System is based on open industry standards to ensure interoperability and investment protection for existing network infrastructures. This highly scalable solution can be hosted on one system or on multiple systems via load balancing.
