PaymentOne’s One Care is set to establish merchant marketing guidelines and investment in new IT systems that allow consumers to better manage their mobile transactions.
Using the PaymentOne mobile payment system, the One Care portal enables consumers to track individual mobile payment transactions in real-time, including the purchase date, description of item purchased, the purchase amount, merchant name and payment status. The total amount is then billed to their mobile phone.
PaymentOne is set to issue new guidelines for its merchant clients to instruct them on the marketing requirements for products and services that are billed using PaymentOne. Merchants will be asked to comply with these guidelines within 60 days or they could risk losing PaymentOne as a billing option for mobile, fixed line and broadband billing.
The One Care portal will be available starting 1 November 2011.
