As part of the deal, PayEase will start to use Decision Manager for managing domestic fraud. In 2009, PayEase became the first mainland China payment service provider to use CyberSources Decision Manager solution for cross-border transactions. Decision Manager helps detect fraudulent behavior using a range of tests.
According to The Boston Consulting Group, online retail sales in China have soared in recent years and are expected to hit USD 360 billion by 2015, up from almost USD 121 billion in 2011.
PayEase processes payments from a variety of different channels, including mobile payments via SMS, RFID eWallet payments, mobile dongle POS, internet banking, call centers and point of sale terminals. CyberSource provides payment management services which enable enterprise and mid-size merchants to transact sales domestically and globally via internet, mobile, call center and face-to-face sales channels.
