Finnish multinational communications corporation Nokia has launched its Lumia 610 NFC model with near-field communication technology that drives payment systems to Microsofts Windows Phone platform, online media outlet reuters.com reports.

According to the source, the Lumia 610 NFC has been certified for contactless payments both with MasterCard and Visa technologies. Orange is set to start selling the device in Q3 2012.

In recent news, Nokia has allegedly decided to close down the Nokia Money service in India. The move is in line with the companys global strategy to move out of emerging markets.
