NETS appoints Ms Susan Hwee as new Chairman

Singapore’s electronic payments leader, Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore Pte Ltd (NETS) has appointed Ms Susan Hwee, Executive Vice President, Information Technology at United Overseas Bank (UOB), as the new Chairman of NETS.

Ms Hwee is not new to NETS. She has been one of NETS’ Directors since 21 June 2002, and brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the Financial and IT industry. Prior to joining UOB in 2001, she held various senior positions in several large technology and banking organizations, including IBM, Citibank N.A. and Keppel / Keppel Tat Lee Bank (prior to its merger with OCBC Bank). Ms Hwee’s appointment took effect from 17 July 2005 and will be for a term of one year. She takes over from the outgoing chairman, Ms Sim Puay Suang. The Board and Management of NETS would like to thank Ms Sim for the valuable contributions she had made to NETS.
