KleinPartners Capital sets up new electronic payments company Spire Payments

KleinPartners Capital, a private investment company has acquired Hypercom Spain and UK, and set up a new company, dubbed Spire Payments, focused on the electronic payments sector.

The newly set up company Spire Payments will provide point of sale hardware and software services and various fixed, portable and mobile payment terminals, as well as PIN pads and unattended devices for integration with cash register systems and self-service kiosks.

Spire Payments will retain all of its Spanish and UK management teams as well as nearly 200 staff and existing premises. Kazem Aminaee, the former President of Hypercom Europe, Middle East and Africa has been appointed President of Spire Payments.
