Javien Unveils Next Generation of E-commerce Technology in V8.0

Friday 25 August 2006 13:53 CET | News

Javien Digital Payment Solutions has released DPS V8.0 of its e-commerce technology. The next generation of the software features adaptive micropayment aggregation in Javien Micropay.

While Javien’s micropayment aggregation engine has been available since February 2005, this version features an adaptive technology that allows merchants to establish business rules that change based upon user history. The technology can employ various rules depending upon an individual buyer’s behavior or the collective behavior of a category of individuals over time. With the exponential growth in digital content sales attributed mostly to the downloads of music tracks, the increase in sales of products at price points below $5 has created a much greater need for the cost-saving benefits of adaptive micropayment technology. However, Javien Micropays application reaches beyond digital content. In addition to micropayment technology, merchants can take advantage of a host of new billing options and extend business outreach on a more global scale. DPS V8.0 empowers merchants to use a variety of billing options—bill to land line phone, SMS, bill to PayPal accounts and ACH. Expanded international support allows merchants to accept currencies of 40 different countries. Finally, the next generation software offers improved merchandising capability through prototyping and expanded shopping cart features. Now merchants can test drive changes they wish to make to the technology through a new, online e-commerce development platform. Its user-friendly interface does not require the merchant to know HTML or XML and allows testing before implementation. Merchants can use Javien’s shopping cart to handle order management and fulfillment for physical goods as well as digital content sales. This eliminates the need to work with different vendors.
