After years of managing an intricate network of payment processing and dial-up communications relationships, Maverik Country Stores turned to ISD Corporation and packetPointe Communications, Inc. to consolidate payment processing across its nationwide network of fuel and convenience stores. The joint ISD and packetPointe solution allows Maverik to realize significant improvements in payment processing costs, transaction speed, operational efficiencies, and customer convenience. Before selecting ISD Payment Switch software, Maverik researched a number of payment system providers in an attempt to lower payment acceptance costs and leverage a communications infrastructure upgrade. Based on recommendations from ISD customers and payment processors, Maverik chose to deploy ISD software on an IBM iSeries platform and consolidate a variety of payment types including credit and debit cards, checks, private label cards, phone cards, and fleet cards. Maverik also implemented ISDs Self-Managed Gift Card solution to gain more control over gift card processing and program administration. Private broadband Satellite connectivity, provided by packetPointe, proved to be a perfect method to solve Maveriks challenge of providing fast and reliable communication at every location. Maverik realized from previous experience that the expense of managing multiple communications vendors was time consuming and costly. packetPointe implemented broadband services across all of Mavericks 170 stores -- streamlining business operations while dramatically reducing operational costs.
