Ingrian Introduces Next-Generation Data Privacy Platforms

Ingrian Networks, has released its next-generation data privacy offerings: Ingrian DataSecure Platforms. With DataSecure, companies can address one of todays most critical security threatsâ€â€Âdata left unprotected within applications, databases, or storage systems. DataSecure gives customers comprehensive controls for protecting sensitive data, delivering such capabilities as granular, field-level encryption; centralized, FIPS-compliant key management; integrated authentication and authorization; and robust logging and auditing. Because it manages encryption at the field level, DataSecure enables organizations to customize their security approach to protect whatever data is deemed sensitive, whether that data is in a field or an entire column in a database. As a result, organizations can ensure that critical data-such as a credit card number, social security number, or patient record-is always secured, from the time it enters the network to the time it is saved onto the storage subsystem. DataSecure protects information in the following phases: - Data in storage-while it sits at rest in storage devices, whether they are directly attached to systems or in a SAN/NAS environment. - Data in transit-while it is moving between servers, databases, and storage devices. - Data in use-while it is being accessed or processed by applications and databases. Features new to this version include: - A new XML (Extensible Markup Language) interface that speeds deployment and offers sophisticated tools for cryptographic key management. - Robust capabilities for implementing authorization and authentication policies. - Comprehensive tracking of all cryptographic operations, featuring tools for auditing, alerting, and reporting. - Expanded support of cryptographic algorithms and operations, including RSA, 3DES, and RC4. The latest release of DataSecure, which features a hardware platform and server-side software, is available immediately; pricing starts at $32,500 for the base unit.
