Identix Awarded Contract from County Sheriffs of Colorado

The CSOC received a grant from the Department of Homeland Security for the purchase and deployment of ten-print live scan systems to Sheriffs Offices throughout the State. A Request For Proposal (RFP) was issued by CSOC in September 2003 and proposals from a number of live scan providers were submitted the same month. The CSOC Board of Directors voted unanimously to award Identix a contract to provide a total of 44 TouchPrint 3000 and TouchPrint 3800 booking stations. With the addition of these systems, Identix will have an installed base of more than 150 live scan system in Colorado, including deployment throughout the state with the INS, Army, Air Force, Police Departments, Schools and Sheriff Departments. Identix expects to begin shipping systems under the contract in December 2003. Identix TouchPrint 3000 Series fingerprint optical scanner is the only ten-print scanner that is totally sealed, with no moving parts and using a single large, non-coated platen.
