Jumio, I-Remit have joined forces for the non-bank remittance service provider in the Philippines to create digital onboarding and eKYC processes.

I-Remit enables local Filipinos and those working abroad to send money in and out of their home country. The company launched IREMITX as a secure, online alternative to in-person transactions in a bit to meet the needs of shifting demographics and evolving remittance industry. With IREMITX, customers can send and receive money online, via web and mobile web, without the need to visit a physical branch. I-Remit’s solution allows users to send money between the Philippines and Canada, Singapore, Japan and UK, with more countries expected to be announced in the future.

At the same time, Jumio’s Identity Verification solution uses ML, AI, and facial biometrics to ensure the person behind a transaction is present and is exactly who they say they. This is done by matching a user’s live selfie with the photo shown on their government-issued ID. With Jumio’s help, I-Remit has the ability to securely verify customers across the globe, in more than 200 countries and territories, and in a multitude of languages, with over 3,000 ID document types.
