GrIDsure rolls out Authentication Platform for web-based applications

Wednesday 20 April 2011 09:44 CET | News

UK pattern based authentication company GrIDsure has launched GrIDsure Authentication Platform (GAP), an authentication server to enable developers to integrate pattern based authentication with one-time passcodes into any web-based application.

GrIDsure Pattern Based Authentication integrates sequential pattern recognition to identify users and their access rights. Users have to choose a Personal Identification Pattern (PIP) which is a memorable pattern and sequence of cells on a grid. Every time they log on, they are presented with a challenge GrID of random numbers. When they enter the values in accordance with their PIP, a one-time passcode is created at every login without disclosing their secret pattern.

Based on SOAP/XML API, the GrIDsure Authentication Platform uses standard Web 2.0 design interfaces and can be integrated into an existing or new web system.
GAP complements a suite of authentication services including GrIDsure Enterprise Login, GrIDsure Solo Login, and GrIDsure SmartLogin.
