GoPayforit launches m-payments service for online content monetization

Tuesday 17 November 2009 09:30 CET | News

Mobile payments company GoPayforit has introduced a mobile, small payments service in the UK, enabling bloggers and content providers to sell content online.

The service enables bloggers and content owners to set up a payment service for their website by inserting a line of code. Thus, consumers will be able to debit money directly from their mobile phone bill (PAYG or contract) to initiate payments.

Customers can use the GoPayforit service for purchases ranging from 25p to GBP 10 and can be used for any type of content, including: purchasing singles or videos from a band’s website; making small donations to charity; purchasing mobile games from online stores; paying for content on news portals or subscribing to a blogger for a small fee.

Those who purchase products must enter their mobile number online to receive a PIN code which is sent in a text message. After receiving the PIN, the buyer will insert the code online to complete the purchase.
