GECAD ePayment will be rebranded as PayU Romania. PayU Group will develop in three distinct directions: extension of its integrated online payment method portfolio which now includes card, micropayments (SMS, DMTF), wire, internet banking, mobilis and PayPal, developing and implementing new services, complementary to online payments, dedicated to online shoppers and regional expansion of operations, through technology export.
Owned by multinational media group Naspers, PayU provides professional e-commerce services in Central and Eastern Europe, being present in Polland, The Czech Republic, Romania and, soon, in Hungary. The group has recently launched www.payu.eu, a website which will combine all of its payment support systems.
