Under the terms of the deal, customers who wish to purchase a subscription to one of the games developed by Ankama can do so using FasterPay’s instant money transfer platform.
FasterPay was launched in August 2008 and makes use of the Faster Payments Service (FPS) banking initiative in the United Kingdom which aims to cut back on the amount of time needed to process low value person-to-person and business-to-business payments from three working days to near real time. FasterPay transactions are carried out from the customer’s online banking account, with personal or financial customer data being shared with a third party.
Ankama Group owns Ankama Games, a French company focused on the design of Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games such as Dofus, Dofus Arena and Wakfu.
