Friday 26 November 2010 11:18 CET | News

Global provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services Capgemini has acquired India-based IT services company Thesys Technologies. Thesys is the provider of global banking systems company Temenos.

Thesys is set to provide several Temenos services, including implementation, training, testing, as well as upgrades, product customization, support and maintenance options. In addition, the company works on a service delivery platform for T24, a banking system.

Thesys’ service delivery infrastructure is expected to reach Capgemini’s offerings in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.

This acquisition is expected to extend Capgemini’s delivery capabilities for Temenos-enabled core banking services, such as retail, corporate, universal, private wealth management, Islamic banking and microfinance, to financial institutions.

In May 2010, Temenos and Capgemini Financial Services USA, a global business unit of Capgemini, have signed an agreement designed to enable Temenos to expand its current customer network.
