British Arab Commercial Bank (BACB) is implementing Misys Wholesale Banking Systems eServices Platform which it will use to provide online banking services to its corporate and institutional clients in the Mediterranean region.

Misys says the bank has licensed both the Corporate and Trade editions of the multi-channel front office system - based on the S1 Enterprise Platform - which allows corporate customers and correspondent banks to manage accounts and finances via the Internet. The bank will initially roll out eServices Corporate Edition, which will enable clients to use cash management facilities within a multi-currency, multi-lingual framework. Andrew Hebron, head of products, wholesale banking solutions, Misys, says BACB can also streamline existing online services by using eServices Corporate Edition. By deploying this solution, BACB can provide a richer level of service and higher quality of information. Its own STP and that of the corporate customers and correspondent banks can be improved at the same time as reducing the cost of supplying this service, says Hebron. The vendor says the technology will also ultimately replace the banks existing online system which is currently used by corporate customers in the UK.
