GameStop has signed a license agreement for NSBs Connected Retailer Store version 6.0, a POS solution that is first-to-market with Microsofts breakthrough .NET technology.GameStop is the nations largest video game and entertainment software specialty retailer, operating over 1,500 retail stores throughout 49 states, Puerto Rico, and Ireland as well as their online channel GameStop.com, all of which serves over 30 million visitors each year. When the retail giant was looking for a provider to replace their legacy POS system, they decided NSB had the right strategic direction. Connected Retailer Store Solution 6.0 is a best-of-breed store automation system that gives retailers unparalleled flexibility to offer the best customer service. Using the power of XML, Web Services, and the .NET framework, retailers can decide where each business function actually runs without requiring additional development - thereby allowing flexible deployment models such as thin-client or even thin-store (a centrally-hosted system). Connected Retailer Store 6.0 enables retailers to rapidly respond to changing in-store needs by taking advantage of the highly configurable nature of the 6.0 product or by extending the application using .NET inheritance.
