Amazon.com is to roll out the Local Express Delivery shipping option in seven cities across the US, including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Las Vegas, Seattle and Washington D.C.

With the new service which will be extended to Chicago, Indianapolis and Phoenix in the near future, customers receive items on the same day as ordered. The company has also expanded Saturday Delivery options. As a result, products ordered before the cut-off time on Thursday using Two-Day Shipping will be delivered on Saturday instead of Monday. The service is offered at the current Two-Day Shipping rates.
