Vodafone launches M-Pesa for TABcabs in Mumbai

GSM operator Vodafone India has rolled out its M-Pesa, a mobile wallet and money transfer service, for radio taxi operator TABcab in Mumbai.

The telecom operator is looking at entering into similar agreements with other taxi operators and companies where cash management is required.

TABcab, according to its website, has a fleet of 2,800 taxis in Mumbai.

In recent news, Alpha Bank and Vodafone in partnership with Visa Europe and First Data, have launched Tap n Pay, a mobile phone application for contactless payments in the Greek market.
