UTP and Paynt launch a new SoftPOS product for SMEs

Friday 20 May 2022 10:10 CET | News

UK-based payment service provider UTP has partnered with acquirer Paynt to launch tapeeno, a SoftPOS product.

tapeeno transforms merchant smartphones into payment acceptance devices and delivers to the SME segment a fast settlement solution (to any UK bank account) combined with payment processing that needs no additional hardware and has no monthly fees.

The SoftPOS solution is expected to bring in a significant volume of new merchants for UTP, so the success of the product launch was highly reliant on efficient merchant acquisition, management, and retention tools, as per the press release.

With Paynt, UTP found a tech-minded acquiring partner who worked with them hand in hand and provided the required solutions that overcame obstacles of the payment industry, such as implementation of automated onboarding flows to deliver merchant activation, customised data, and settlement APIs to ensure UTP could provide their instant settlement solution, and tailored performance reports and BI tools giving insights into day-to-day operations.

Paynt is a fully integrated global payment solutions and infrastructure provider. Acquiring-as-a-Service is its flagship product, targeted specifically at the reseller segment, independent sales organisations, payment service providers, independent software vendors, and SaaS companies. Paynt offers access to omnichannel payment acceptance capabilities and launched a new platform that automates and streamlines functions required to onboard, manage, and retain merchants.
