US-based provider of mobile financial services infrastructure Tyfone has entered an agreement with Protege Sistemas of Brazil to bring the suite of Tyfone mobility services, including mobile banking, mobile wallet and mobile ticketing for mass transit with NFC to Brazil and Latin America.

Tyfone’s mobile financial services suite dubbed iCashe includes: mobile banking, smartcard based identity management for mobile security and mobile payments, with and without NFC.

Under the agreement, Protege Sistemas and Tyfone are set to start the Brazilian rollout under the iCashe brand, beginning with the following services: mobile ticketing and mobile banking including bill payment, security analytics, mobile remote deposit capture and the iCashe Mobile Wallet on phones and tablets. The rollout will also include Tyfone’s SideSafe service, which enables the extension of hardware security to cloud-based transactions on mobile devices, with a scalable platform that enables the deployment of identity management services without control of device manufacturers or mobile network operators.

Protege Sistemas was founded in 1987 as a provider of services in transport and automation of electronic transactions. Protege Sistemas also issues digital cards in Brazil and Latin America, distributing prepaid recharges for mobile and providing transaction processing service for São Paulo Metro.

In recent news, Tyfone has entered an agreement with independent, nonprofit organization In-Q-Tel (IQT).
