Nimax, a division of Ingram Micro Inc., and a top distributor of point-of-sale (POS), bar code, and wireless hardware products, announced the availability of Cisco Systems networking and wireless products to Nimax resellers in the United States.

Adding momentum to Nimaxs linecard growth, the distributor will offer Ciscos Aironet and Airespace lines as well as other products that complement wireless solutions in the AIDC space. Nimax customers now have more choice when it comes to designing wireless LANs with world-class products and knowledgeable support and services. Leveraging its relationship with Ingram Micro, Nimax provides its customers direct access to Ciscos world-class wireless networking infrastructure, including bridges, controllers, antennas, access points, adapters, power supply products and software options. Combined with an already comprehensive POS and AIDC product offering, this expanded product offering gives Nimax customers a true one-stop shop for all their solution needs. Plus, Ciscos products are backed up by Ingram Micros technical support networking and wireless know how. With the support of Ingram Micro, Nimax has successfully heightened its presence within the manufacturer community and has eyed new market opportunities, such as the logistics and RFID arenas. Since last fall, the company has made a number of announcements around its growing product linecard, including IBM POS, Planar touch-screen and KPS Samsung POS printers.
