Due to this announcement, Croatia becomes the third Central European country to receive Google Pay support, after the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Earlier in July 2018, Google announced that it is merging Google Pay and Google Pay Send apps to allow users to store card information, send and receive money, all in one app. Moreover, in July 2018, Sberbank has integrated with Google Pay, making it the first bank in Russia to do so.
