GHL enables GrabPay e-wallet acceptance across Shell petrol stations in Malaysia

Payments company GHL Systems has enabled GrabPay e-wallet acceptance at Shell petrol stations nationwide in Malaysia in a bid to further expand its cashless offerings.

According to Fintech News Malaysia, GrabPay evolves to become an app that addresses the daily needs of its users, as its e-wallet can be used to pay for a multitude of services, such as transportation, food delivery, goods delivery, bill payments, offline payments, and and now to include offline payment across Shell stations nationwide.

The initiative comes after an increasing adoption of e-wallet among Malaysians. Therefore, providing the corresponding infrastructure to accommodate the demand of convenience of consumers through cashless solutions is one of the company's goals.

GrabPay refers to a collection of all cashless payment methods, including credit or debit cards, partner wallets like PayPal and the GrabPay balance. GrabPay Wallet is a mobile wallet that contains a topped up balance that can be used towards purchases.
