European processor, Aconite team up for mobile EMV scripting

Aconite, a UK-based provider of card payment and mobile management solutions, has been selected by an European processor for Aconite’s Mobile Application Manager (MoAM) to support their mobile scripting needs.

Under the agreement, Aconite’s Mobile Application Manager is set to support counter-resets, passcode changes and other scripts required to implement EMV in a mobile environment.

The EMV Scripting features delivered by Aconite’s Mobile Application Manager are based on Aconite’s Smart EMV Manager product which can be configured to support new functions, applications and script types. Both products allow issuers of card and mobile applications to retain their existing systems and to acquire smart card and mobile functions through an Aconite plug-in solution. In addition to generating EMV scripts for managing mobile EMV applications, Aconite’s Mobile Application Manager can provide full application data preparation, key management and personalization, authorize EMV transactions delivered over-the-air or through conventional networks and provide analytics of transaction data.

Aconite helps card issuers, processors, retailers, payments service providers and transit authorities minimize their EMV migration risks and maximize the return on their EMV investment. The company operates in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

In recent news, Aconite has joined the Smart Card Alliance EMV Migration Forum, an independent cross-industry body created by the Smart Card Alliance to promote the migration to EMV-enabled cards, devices and terminals in the US.
